TTM TRAINING COURSE INFORMATION
TTM WORKER
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT WORKER
Who’s it for?
Anyone who assists with setting / packing up worksites, operating manual traffic control, acting as spotter
Prerequisites
A good attitude and that’s all!
Training Components
1. 3 hours Theory
2. On-site Mentoring and Practical assessment – TTM Worker Unit Standard awarded upon completion
No WK NZTA Warrant, Unit Standard only

Training and Practical assessment, catering, NZQA registration fees, equipment, TMP and vehicles.
TMO
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OPERATIVE
Who’s it for?
Anyone who maintains established sites on the lane in Cat A and B Roads, or install sites clear of the lane on Cat A and B Roads. May also undertake inspection activities.
Prerequisites
TTM worker or expired TTM warrant
Training Components
1. One Day Knowledge Workshop – TMO Non-Practicing awarded upon completion
2. On-site Mentoring/Verification
3. Practical assessment – TMO Practicing awarded upon completion
Unit Standard optional

STMS REFRESHER A/B/C
Who’s it for?
Anyone who holds and existing STMS ticket expired not more than 12 months who wants to refresh into the new training model
Prerequisites
STMS of any level expired not more than 12 months
Training Components
1. One Day Knowledge Workshop – STMS AB-NP awarded upon completion, existing L2/3 STMS will also be awarded STMS C-NP upon Completion
2. On-site practical assessment for each category of road required – the relevant practicing STMS warrant for the category of road assessed on will be awarded upon completion
WK NZTA Warrant

INSPECTOR
Who’s it for?
Anyone completing inspection activities in category A and B road environments or on the shoulder of category C road environments.

2. On-site Practical Assessment – Inspector Warrant awarded upon completion

SITE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Who’s it for?
Could be an STMS in training or a Manager who requires theoretical understanding of TTM however does not need to operate as an STMS on site

3. On-site Practical Assessment – STMS A Practicing awarded upon completion
